Yes, there are child care jobs in New York, and good nannies are in high demand. If you have good references, I would think you would find a nanny job in New York City pretty easily. Just make sure the terms of the job are clear — hours, compensation, etc. I had a friend who did not make sure that was clear up front and was expected to work virtually 24 hours a day.
